A DARK MOMENT

It is with profound grief and a heavy sense of disbelief that we find the strength to put these words together. This loss came without warning—sudden, piercing, and deeply unsettling. In this painful hour, we mourn not just a colleague, but a brother and a dear friend—one of the brightest minds among our contemporaries.

‎Today, the 1st of May, marks the untimely passing of Mr. Obinna Jumbo, fondly known as “Passo,” of Ihuoba, Obudi, Agwa, Oguta LGA, Imo State, following complications from an unsuccessful surgical procedure. The news has left hearts shattered and eyes filled with tears.
‎
‎Until his passing, Obinna lived a life marked by purpose and impact. He was a devoted gospel music evangelist, a passionate environmentalist, and a Master’s degree holder. As a staff member of EEDC and a dynamic entrepreneur with a flair for emerging technologies, he embodied diligence, intellect, and innovation.
‎
‎Passo was not only a supporter but a pillar within the Inside Agwa News community. He featured prominently in several editions of the Weekend Digest on Inside Agwa TV and played a distinguished role as a resource person during the maiden edition of the Inside Agwa Perennial LAAPAC Conference. His contributions were thoughtful, consistent, and deeply valued.

‎A man of the people, Obinna’s love for community service earned him the position of Secretary of Agwa Central Union, Owerri Branch—a role he discharged with commitment and integrity.

‎In solemn recognition of his immense contributions and in honour of his memory, the Management and Staff of Inside Agwa News have resolved to suspend activities on our WhatsApp platform for 24 hours. We respectfully call on all our readers and supporters to join us in quiet reflection and solidarity during this difficult time.

‎We urge all to pray for the peaceful repose of his soul and for divine comfort upon the family he has left behind.
