Residents and well-wishers from Egbuoma community in Egwe/Egbuoma Autonomous Community, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State, gathered on Saturday to celebrate with Nze Igwe Oyirimba during a thanksgiving and survival birthday party held in appreciation to God for preserving his life following a serious accident.
The event attracted family members, friends, associates, community leaders, and political stakeholders who joined Oyirimba in expressing gratitude for what many described as God's mercy and faithfulness throughout his recovery journey.
Speaking during the celebration, Nze Igwe Oyirimba thanked God for granting him another opportunity to live and appreciate life. He also expressed gratitude to those who stood by him during the difficult period, particularly Apostle David Lemchi Ebirim, the Action People's Party (APP) candidate for Oguta State Constituency in the 2027 Imo State House of Assembly election.
According to Oyirimba, Apostle Ebirim has consistently identified with the people of Egbuoma and demonstrated genuine concern for their welfare. He commended his presence at the event and acknowledged his longstanding relationship with members of the community.
In his remarks, Apostle David Lemchi Ebirim emphasized that his attendance was motivated by friendship, solidarity, and gratitude to God rather than political considerations. Addressing the gathering as a Christian minister, he offered prayers for Oyirimba and the entire community, praying for long life, good health, and divine protection.
"As an Apostle of Jesus Christ, I pray that Nze Igwe Oyirimba and everyone gathered here will continue to enjoy God's protection and blessings. We shall live to fulfill our destinies and give glory to God," he said.
Apostle Ebirim encouraged the people to always appreciate God's goodness and to remain supportive of one another during challenging times. He noted that acts of kindness and compassion strengthen communities and create lasting bonds among individuals.
While acknowledging his political aspirations, Ebirim stressed that the occasion was primarily a celebration of life and thanksgiving. He stated that political engagement would be reserved for appropriate periods while urging residents to continue supporting initiatives aimed at the development and progress of Oguta Local Government Area and Imo State.
The event featured prayers, goodwill messages, entertainment, and moments of reflection as guests celebrated Oyirimba's recovery and reaffirmed the values of friendship, faith, and community support.
Observers at the gathering noted that Apostle Ebirim's participation reflected his continued engagement with grassroots communities across Oguta LGA. They described the event as another example of the relationship between community leadership and public service, particularly as political activities gradually gain momentum ahead of the 2027 elections.
The celebration concluded with expressions of gratitude from the host family and renewed prayers for peace, unity, and development within Egbuoma community and Oguta Local Government Area at large.
