Late Ethelbert Nze to Be Buried September 25 in Obeama Agwa

The family of the late Hon. Chief Sir Ethelbert Nnanna Nze, KSJI, popularly known as Watchout, has announced that he will be laid to rest on Friday, September 25, 2026, at his country home in Umuomara, Obeama Agwa, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.
Nze, who died in 2026 at the age of 67, was described by his family as a devoted Catholic, Knight of St. John International (KSJI), and Traditional Prime Minister of Nze Umuoma Agwa Autonomous Community.
He was also a prominent public servant and grassroots political leader who served in various capacities, including as a former member of the Imo State House of Assembly and Transition Committee Chairman of Oguta Local Government Area.
The deceased also served as Special Assistant to the then Governor of Imo State, Chief Ikedi Ohakim, on Contact and Mobilisation.
According to the family, Nze played significant roles in the growth and stability of the political party in Oguta LGA and across Imo State.
The family said a detailed programme of activities for the burial would be announced in due course.
It also called on friends, political associates across party lines, well-wishers and members of the public to honour the deceased with condolence messages, tributes and goodwill messages.
The family expressed appreciation for the prayers, support and solidarity received during the period of mourning, and prayed for the repose of the deceased's soul.
The burial announcement was made by Mr. Golden Nnaemeka Nnanna, eldest son of the deceased, on behalf of the family.
