Nwaogu Seeks Unity as NDC Mobilises for 2027 Elections in Isiala Ngwa South

ISIALA NGWA SOUTH, Abia State — The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) Senatorial Candidate for Abia Central, Senator Nkechi Nwaogu, has called on party executives, members and supporters in Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area to remain united and committed to the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Nwaogu made the call during a thank-you visit to the NDC LGA and ward executives in Isiala Ngwa South, where she expressed appreciation for their support and commitment to the party.
The meeting brought together party leaders, stakeholders, campaign officials and ward executives from across Abia Central, providing an opportunity for the senatorial candidate to engage directly with the party structure at the grassroots.
Addressing the gathering, Nwaogu thanked the executives and supporters for their continued backing and urged them to sustain their mobilisation efforts as the party prepares for the 2027 elections.
She also called on NDC members and supporters to support the presidential candidacy of Peter Obi and other candidates fielded by the party in the 2027 elections.
Nwaogu used the occasion to highlight what she described as her contributions to the development of Isiala Ngwa South, particularly in the areas of employment, empowerment, provision of basic amenities and social infrastructure.
She urged the party faithful to remain focused and work together to strengthen the NDC's presence across the local government and the wider Abia Central Senatorial District.
Among those present at the engagement were Hon. Chief Chinenye Ike; Hon. Prince Chimezuo Michael Agrippah, NDC House of Assembly Candidate; Hon. Ekele Nwaohamuoh, Director-General of the Senator Nkechi Nwaogu 2027 Senatorial Campaign Organisation; Hon. Felix Nkoro; and Hon. Chief Sunny Nwabekee.
Others included Dame Patience Udochukwu, NDC South-East Woman Leader; Hon. Chief Mrs. Lovina Dike, Woman Leader of the Liberty Foundation; and Chief C.C. Eneonwe, NDC Chairman for Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Area.
LGA and ward executives from different parts of Abia Central also attended the meeting.
The visit comes as political parties and aspirants intensify grassroots engagements, consultations and mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.
For the NDC, the engagement provided an opportunity to reinforce its relationship with its local structures and rally members around its electoral objectives.
The party has continued to emphasise grassroots mobilisation and party unity as it seeks to build its organisational strength ahead of the elections.
Nwaogu's visit ended with renewed appeals to party members to remain committed to the NDC and work collectively towards its success at the polls.
