Uzodimma Urges Osun Voters to Back Oyebamiji, Says APC Victory Will Drive Osun’s Transformation

At the Freedom Park in Osogbo, the capital of Osun State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) brought its governorship campaign to a colourful conclusion, with party leaders and supporters rallying behind the candidacy of Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.
Among the prominent voices at the grand finale was Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma, who used the occasion to appeal to the people of Osun State to entrust the state’s leadership to the APC.
Uzodimma said the party’s presence in Osun was driven by a commitment to progress, development and prosperity, stressing that the APC’s people-centred approach to governance could deliver tangible improvements in the lives of residents.
Speaking at the event, the governor declared that the party’s ideals remained firmly anchored on “good governance, inclusive development, and improving the quality of life of our people.”
According to him, these principles could be effectively replicated in Osun State if the people give the APC and its candidate the opportunity to govern.
His message placed particular emphasis on the connection between political leadership and the everyday welfare of citizens, suggesting that government should ultimately be measured by its impact on communities, families and individuals.
Uzodimma therefore called on voters across Osun State to rally behind Oyebamiji, describing support for the APC candidate as a vote for the party’s broader vision of development.
“I, therefore, call on the good people of Osun State to stand firmly behind our great party by supporting and delivering Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO),” he said.
The appeal came as the APC campaign entered its final stretch, with the party seeking to consolidate its support across the state ahead of the governorship election.
For the APC, the Osogbo rally represented more than the conclusion of a campaign tour. It was also an opportunity to reinforce its argument that the party possesses the political experience and governing philosophy required to accelerate development in Osun.
Uzodimma further assured voters that an APC victory would translate into meaningful transformation across different sectors of the state.
“Rest assured that an APC victory will usher in meaningful transformation across various sectors of the State,” he stated.
His remarks echoed the central message of the APC campaign: that Osun requires leadership focused on practical development, inclusive governance and improved living standards.
The governor’s endorsement also brought the weight of the APC’s wider national and sub-national political structure behind Oyebamiji as the party made its final appeal to voters.
As the election approaches, the contest is expected to place competing visions for the future of Osun State before the electorate. For the APC, however, the message delivered at Freedom Park was clear: the party wants voters to see its candidate as the vehicle through which its development-oriented agenda can be implemented in the state.
With the campaign now reaching its climax, Uzodimma’s call is ultimately a direct appeal to Osun voters to make their choice in favour of the APC and AMBO, with the promise that such a mandate would usher in a new phase of development and prosperity.
