‎The Delta State High Court sitting in Asaba has arraigned Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Usman Nuhu and four other police officers over the alleged extra-judicial killing of 28-year-old musician, Oghenemine Ogidi, popularly known as OG Million.

‎The incident, which occurred on April 26, 2026, in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, has attracted significant public attention. According to the prosecution, the deceased was allegedly restrained on the ground before being shot at close range by ASP Nuhu in the presence of the other officers.

‎ASP Nuhu is standing trial on a charge of murder, while the other defendants—ASPs Owoloko Daurou Pamo and Okoh Kelechi, alongside Inspectors Goodluck Kingsley and Omonigho Ahweyevu—are facing charges relating to alleged negligent acts causing harm.

‎At their arraignment before Justice M. Nduka, all five defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against them.

‎Following the plea, the court adjourned proceedings until July 14, 2026, when the substantive trial is scheduled to commence.

‎Speaking after the court session, Delta State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole (SAN), reaffirmed the state's commitment to ensuring a diligent prosecution of the case. He urged members of the public to remain calm and allow the judicial process to run its course without interference.

‎The forthcoming trial is expected to draw widespread public interest as the court examines the evidence presented by both the prosecution and the defence in determining the issues before it.
